It is essential to Harston Parish Council to provide and support the local community. We have various community lead groups that you are welcome to join. Harston also has a variety of local walks that are great for all the family, alongside plenty of local businesses.

Finance, Budgets and Support

Parish Council’s must be transparent with their financial documents and obligations. These can be easily found on our site, making it easier for you, the local people, to contribute to local decision making and increase our democratic accountability.

Harston Parish Council works towards improving community well being and providing better services in our village.

The Parish Council has a range of different powers to provide and maintain a variety of important and visible local services including bridleways, burial grounds, bus shelters, commons and open spaces, community transport schemes, community safety and crime reduction measures, events and festivals, footpaths, leisure and sports facilities, litter bins, planning, street cleaning and lighting, traffic calming measures, village greens and youth projects.
